The Massachusetts Correctional Institution, Framingham, houses females sentenced to imprisonment, awaiting trial, or committed by the courts for alcohol or substance abuse treatment (MGLA c 125, s 16; c 123, s 35). Under the supervision of the superintendent, the deputy superintendent for programs and treatment is responsible for overseeing and developing policies concerning inmate services and treatments. Daily appointment calendars are created to plan work schedules and receive visitors.
