Contains a chronological abridgment of the year book of 21 Henry VI and 1-15 Edward IV (1367-1374), followed by: (a) oath of the foreman of the grand jury, 'le manner de ley gager' and other notes; (b) abridgment of 40-47 Edward III; (c) 'Tractatus Des Statutes et Exposition de Eux', including 'Si Ascun merchandiz soit mis...'; (d) 'Le Mannour de Tenant le Cessions Deins le Cittye de Rochester'; (e) the beginning of a copy of Natura Brevium (in reverse order).

On inheriting his father's estate at Middle Hill in Worcestershire, Phillipps embarked on a career of collecting manuscripts and books. His collection of manuscripts eventually numbered over 60,000 items.
