Letters, 1869-1912.

Letters addressed to, among others, Eugene Manuel, Armand Dayot, Paul de Saint-Victor, Diogène Maillart, Henry Lapauze and Louis Secchi. The letter to Manuel talks about the results of a juried exhibition; a letter of ca. 1880 describes work he is doing on costumes for the opera and specifically mentions Offenbach's "Carmen." A three page letter, 1894 Feb. 26, to Secchi discusses work on a statue of Marechal Mac Mahon showing particular concern for the versimilitude of the military uniform.
