Waddell Gallery records, 1960-1977.

Artists' files, scattered administrative and correspondence files, and sales records. Artists' files contain biographical data, correspondence, exhibition catalogs, loan papers, photographs of work, publicity and press releases, sales receipts, shipping documents, slides of art work and other documents for twenty-nine artists. Included are: Will Barnet, Bernard Baschet, John Clague, Toni Costa, Francois Dallegret, Frederick Franck, Edward Giobbi, Guy Harloff, John Healey, Piet Hein, Alain Jacquet, Howard Kanovitz, Aleksandra Kasuba, Takeshi Kawashima, Bob Liikala, Sheldon Machlin, Ronald Mallory, Robert and Ella Bergmann Michel, George Mueller, Nicola, Charles Perry, Earl Reiback, Gerald Scarfe, Nicolas Schoffer, Vera Simons, Paul Van Hoeydonck, Boris Vansier, and Tomi Ungerer. The Gallery's general administrative and correspondence files record loans, sales and other gallery business conducted with art and cultural institutions in the U.S. and Europe. Included within these is correspondence from artists, art critics, collectors, individuals, galleries, museums, magazines, and publishers. Files under Waddell contain photographs of the gallery, gallery announcements, and clippings. Within the "I" files are inventory cards listing works sold to museums, to individuals, works in storage, and other categories. The sales books are arranged by reference number, by artist, and by purchaser, and cover the years 1964-1973.
