This is the official record of the Confraternity, relating to the foundation of the congregation of laymen and detailing the erection of a new oratory and its decoration, dedicated to the late Pope Alexander VII. Documents contained in the volume (all dated, sealed and signed by a notary) relate to donations, payments for work on the oratory, and include a complete inventory of furniture, vestments, paintings, statues and metalwork; also included is a list of manuscripts owned by the church. Artists mentioned in the account include Luca Berrettini, who designed the altar and the architect Angelo Torroni.
