Reflects tenure of Frank K. Edmondson as treasurer of the American Astronomical Society from 1954 to 1975, but also includes the records of past treasurers Frank C. Jordan (1932-1941), Keivin Burns (1941-1946), and Jason J. Nassau (1946-1954). These were accrued by Edmondson in his duties as treasurer, and consist primarily of financial and membership records. Includes financial reports, investment reports and documentation, membership lists and member correspondence, subscription payments by members and financial reports of AAS publications, National Science Foundation grant administration, and material related to the funding of visiting professors programs.
