André Mellerio papers, 1867-1943.

André Mellerio, friend of Odilon Redon and his wife Camille Redon, worked closely with the artist while writing numerous articles and several important catalogues on Redon's work. Mellerio's research and publishing projects continued after Redon's death in 1916. Much of this collection consists of Mellerio's meticulous transcriptions of Redon's letters and other personal papers, lent to him by Redon or his widow. A second large section is Mellerio's transcriptions of texts published by other authors, pertinent to his research on Redon.
