Louis Penfield residence collection, 1959-1982.

Among Frank Lloyd Wright's last residential projects was a second house for artist and teacher Louis Penfield and his wife, Pauline, for whom Wright had designed a house in Willoughby, Ohio, in 1952 (construction completed in 1955). Wright finished preliminary designs for this second Penfield residence before his death in April, 1959; the drawings were completed by Wright's successor firm, Taliesin Associated Architects, under the direction of William Wesley Peters, in 1960. The second design was not built. The collection consists of five drawings for the second house in Willoughby, Ohio. These reproductions of original drawings were provided to Louis Penfield by the Taliesin Associated Architects and Penfield later colored and annotated several of the sheets.

Oversize material.
