Samuel Lipman married Irene Lesser in San Francisco in 1901. Irene was the daughter of Jacob Lesser (1853-1910) and Julia Harris (1861-1924). Julia's parents, Isaac Harris and Rebecca Brodek, married in London in 1851 and Isaac came to San Francisco shortly thereafter (his wife and daughter followed later, though the child died during the journey).
