In this autograph letter, Pater thanks George Allison Armour for sending him a copy of the Grolier Club edition of Philobiblon (1889), a 14th century work by the English bibliophile Richard de Bury, Bishop of Durham. Armour was a member of the Grolier Club, a New York City bibliophile society.
