Correspondence (1932-1971) of Society officers, committee members, and American Institute of Physics publications managers. Correspondence is concerned with Society membership, election of officers, finances, meetings, and publications. Publications (1930-1960) of and about the Society include the JOURNAL OF RHEOLOGY, the RHEOLOGY BULLETIN, and the RHEOLOGY LEAFLET. Other records (1940-1954) include the constitution, bylaws, minutes of committee and business meetings, annual reports, financial statements, and membership lists. Correspondents include: Eugene C. Bingham, Frank D. Dexter, George Julian Dienes, John Henry Dillon, A. Stuart Hunter, Hershel Markovitz, John C. Miller, and William R. Willets. An addition was made to the collection in 1993 of records (1950-1989). These include executive committee minutes (1965-1968), correspondence (1961-1989), membership rosters (1952, 1955, 1956, 1972, 1975), Society of Rheology Bulletins (1958-present, incomplete).
