Goodyear was a friend of painter Arthur C. Goodwin (birthdate listed variously between 1863 and 1869) and an active promoter of his work, organizing several exhibitions of his work and writing a book about his struggles as an artist. Upon Goodwin's death in 1929 she was the sole beneficiary of his artistic estate. Goodyear was married to painter Raphael Doktor. Her father was William H.
