Letters of Uwins, mostly of a routine nature but including four to the miniature portrait painter George Dodgson Tomlinson (1849). One of these (Oct. 1) gives the detailed history of Uwins' painting "The Saint-manufactury," providing provenance and exhibition information. Also included is a letter concerning the attribution of Raphael drawings and efforts to keep them in England (1836). With a portrait print of Uwins.
