Papers related to Ozenfant's contribution to the Encyclopédie Française, 1934-1935.

The collection comprises two contracts signed by Ozenfant with the Comité de l'Encyclopédie française for two articles: one about "Les couleurs et leurs supports" for the 16th volume (1934 July 31, original & copy), and the other about "Les besoins collectifs de la peinture" for the 17th volume (1934 Sept. 24, original & copy). Also included are a copy of Pierre Abraham's letter acknowledging the agreement for the first contract (1934 June 20); copies of letters related to the information requested by Ozenfant from the Maison Lefranc (1934 Dec. 29 & 1935 Jan. 14); two letters signed by Ozenfant containing supplementary notes to his second article (1935 Mar. 5 & 8); and a thank you letter acknowledging receipt of his notes (1935 Mar. 9). In a postcard sent to Pierre Abraham, Ozenfant announces his departure for England (1935 Aug. 13).
