Typescript of an interview taken from the included cassette tape. The interview was conducted by Albert Winkler of the Brigham Young University Special Collections on 16 Nov. 1999. Nelson talks about his service in the United States Army of occupation in Germany immediately following World War II. He talks about the plight of the German people and about how the United States tried to help the German economy at that time.
