ALS with address leaf, containing the "April Report" to the Secretaries of the American Home Missionary Society by Adams, a minister who had "been under the patronage of your Soc. only five months..." in Van Buren County, Iowa Territory. Adams notes the number of congregation members, temperance subscribers, Sabbath school scholars, and volumes in the Sabbath school library. He also discusses the strong religious interest among the citizens of Farmington and Bentonsport, the construction of mills and other water-powered machinery on the Des Moines river near Bentonsport, temperance laws in Farmington, and his good health.
