Collection (98-173, 00-040) (1500 items, 3.5 linear feet; dated 1992-1997) consists of proofs of photographs of the White Furniture Company of Mebane, NC, and its workers. Primarily 3x5 machine proofs and 8x10 proofs of images selected as firsts, alternates, and seconds for the book "Closing: The Life and Death of an American Factory" (1998), and related materials. Addition (02-064)(36 items, .20 linear feet; dated 1992-1997) includes seventeen 8x10 and nineteen 3.5x5.5 black-and-white additional proofs as described above. All proofs include a negative number. Some include a typed description.
