Weekly returns of admissions to and discharges from institutions, 1916-1945.

The Dept. of Mental Health and its predecessors have had general supervision of all public and private institutions for the mentally ill, mentally retarded, epileptic persons, and persons addicted to alcohol and narcotics. Weekly returns of admissions to and discharges from institutions consist of admission and discharge forms returned to the department by state, federal, and private facilities in Massachusetts.
