Contains 'Certes conceipts et bone case escries et composes per Edmund Plowden ou [sic] apprentice de le common ley en Medio Templo London Anno Domini 1614.' The date represents that of the transcription, not of the compilation. The cases are arranged alphabetically from Acceptance to Waste. A preface explains: 'Al lecturer. Imediatment apres la morte du Edm: Plowden jeo trove les cases (in cest livre contenus) en son estude, et fueront escries in loose fueiles touts ensemble en un bundle en bon order frame...'.
