Miscellaneous administrative records relating to French public works and building projects, 1767-1790.

Miscellaneous collection of pre-revolutionary records relating primarily to public works. The earliest and most significant pieces consist of a group of six drawings by Frick, for a fountain (with site plan), and a two-story building which was to have room for a schoolmaster (plans, elevation and sections). Other documents include a copy of a 1768 letter certified by Le Brun, "Ingenieur du Roy;" a 1775 record of work to be done on the church of St. Luce, Beauville; a legal brief regarding a house built on the property of Joseph Ripoll Perarnau (ca. 1777, 13 pp.); a memoir dated 1777 to Sartimes and Necker about a canal at Bordeaux; a letter of 1787 by De Calonne about a factory for refining saltpeter for gunpowder, located near Tours; and estimates dated 1790 for the cost of constructing walls at the Parc de Villeneuve le Roy.
