Gerson Goldhaber Scientist's Records, 1956-1990 (bulk 1961- 1989).

Papers and other records of Goldhaber that document his research and academic career at the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory and the University of California at Berkeley. Correspondence, scientific papers and reports pertain to Goldhaber's elementary-particle studies, beginning at the Bevatron and later as a leading member of the LBL-SLAC collaboration. In November 1974, Goldhaber was a member of the team which discovered the J/psi particle and his subsequent research continued the investigation of the charmed quark family. The 1980 records depict his participation in the research and development of the Mark II magnetic detector at SPEAR. The records also include Goldhaber's instructional materials and lectures on particle physics.
