Diary, 1877-1881.

Photocopies of microfilm copies of a handwritten diary. Parkinson wrote about his life as a Mormon in Franklin, Idaho. He told about working in Franklin's bookstore, going into the canyons to cut lumber, and working on a farm. He also wrote about the death of Brigham Young, second president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-days, and floating logs down the Logan River to be used in the construction of the Mormon temple in Logan, Utah. He married Ellen Nash and served on a mission for the Mormon Church in Great Britain. He told about his voyage to Britiain, his activities as a missionary, and he included a genealogy of his father's family. He included a list of contacts while on his mission and also a list of expenses.

The Logan Temple Time Books reflect labor time spent on the construction of the Logan Temple in Logan, Utah from 1877 to 1884.
