Church organized in 1715. In 1752, the parishes of Mattituck and Aquebogue united and were officially incorporated as Union Parish in 1817. Union Parish as a corporate entity dissolved in 1853. The church was New School, 1838-1870. In 1831, members living in the Middle District formed a separate church.
