Reuben C. Brock letters to his family, 1854-1855.

Two ALS written by Reuben C. Brock while living in San Francisco, California, to members of his family in the East, possibly in Newbury, Massachusetts. A letter to his "brother and sister" E. and R. Abbott, 1854, concerns plans for their son James B. Abbott to travel to California. Brock also briefly discusses business and mining prospects and other aspects of life in San Francisco. In a letter to his mother Rebekah Brock, 1855, Brock discusses family news, refers to his wife and children in the East, and gives news of James B. Abbott in California.
