One hundred and eighty-one printed posters announcing East German art exhibitions, theater events, festivals and other cultural events ranging from the mid-1940's to the 1980's. Some of the artists represented: Fritz Cremer, Louis Corinth, Wieland Förster, Hans Jüchser, Franziska Lobeck, Adolf Menzel, Otto Niemeyer-Holstein, and Rolf Xago Schröder. Among the sponsoring institutions: Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, Pirckheimer-Gesellschaft im Kulturbund der D.D.R., Theater der Freundschaft, Zentrum für Kunstausstellungen der D.D.R., Ministerium für Kultur der D.D.R., and the Berliner Grafikmarkt.
