List of performances in London theatres, 1700-1745. 1924-1933?

Comprises three volumes of the results of Nicoll's research listing performances at London theatres on a day-to-day basis, with a column for each of the major theatres, principally Drury Lane and the Haymarket, but including, Lincoln's Inn Fields, Dorset Gardens and others. The first volume covers June 1700 to May 1714, the second June 1715 to December 1727, and the third June 1744 to February 1745.

Allardyce Nicoll was a literary scholar, theatre historian, and university teacher. He was born in Glasgow, educated at Stirling High School and Glasgow University, where he was a G.A. Clark scholar in English. He was appointed in 1920 as a lecturer in English at King's College, University of London, and was promoted quickly to the Chair of English at East London College, University of London, in 1924, at age thirty.
