The Massachusetts Correctional Institution, Framingham, houses females sentenced to imprisonment, awaiting trial, or committed by the courts for alcohol or substance abuse treatment (MGLA c 125, s 16; c 123, s 35). Under the supervision of the deputy superintendent for operations, the front control unit is responsible for controlling entry into the prison facility. Visitor logs are created to admit visitors to the institution.
