Letters, 1904-1912.

Hofer inquires in two letters, 1904 June 7 and Oct. 14, about several of his paintings stored with Graf, including "Liegende Rothaarige" and declares his intention to become a member of the Deutscher Kuenstlerbund. In a third letter, 1905 Aug. 22, he thanks Graf for a recommendation to the art dealer Ernst Cassirer and discusses exhibition plans. In a letter, 1912 Feb. 4, Hofer declares his secession from the Deutscher Kuenstlerbund over the rejection of two of his paintings.
