Joseph Vernet correspondence, 1759-1784.

The letters are addressed to: Vernet's patron Girardot de Marigny, primarily concerning payment (1778-1783); the engraver Jean Georges Wille (1760); and the painter Dumons. Letters received are from Charles Selwin concerning the transport of paintings (1759); and from Elie Catherine Freron (1770).
