La mort de mademoiselle Le Couvreur, fameuse actrice, [between 1775 and 1859.

A manuscript copy, in an unidentified hand, of Voltaire's elegy for Adrienne Lecouvreur, stage actress and friend of Voltaire who died in 1730. The poem appears to match the text as published in the 1775 Geneva edition of Voltaire's works, with the addition of one extra stanza at the end. A note added to the manuscript indicates that it was sold in 1859 as part of the Dawson Turner collection. Also present on the manuscript are two separate, unrelated 5-line stanzas ostensibly attributable to Voltaire.
