The manuscript covers Biswas' interest in astronomy and physics, which he attributes, in part, to a grandfather who was an amateur astronomer; his education in Calcutta; his tenure at the Physics Department of the University of Melbourne; research on cosmic ray physics for his Ph.D.; work at the Tata Institute of Bombay on properties of elementary particles; work in the U.S. at the University of Minnesota and NASA-Goddard Space Center; and work on return to Tata.
