Letters, 1835-1854.

In various letters Brockedon solicits support for his son-in-law's nomination for membership in the Athenaeum Club, expresses his views on his book The Passes of the Alps, and describes his feelings toward the work and actions of Turner and Westmacott. He also writes with relish regarding his own work in progress. A few letters to David Roberts relate to Roberts's publication on Egypt and Nubia. Two obituaries from unidentified English newspapers are also included.
