E.H. Chandler letter, 1861 May 30.

Letter from Confederate Army Headquarters, Fredericksburg, Va., instructing Chandler to report to the mayor of Fredericksburg the arrival by railroad of all suspicious persons and to detain them for questioning by military authorities. The letter also contains instructions about the issuance of railroad passes to soldiers.
