Typescript copies of letters dated May 10-July 26, 1906, written by Elmer A. Nixon to his mother and other family members while employed as a ranch hand by C. J. Hall and his wife on the Hall's Y Bar Ranch near Lucile, Idaho. Nixon comments briefly on his travel by train and stage from Chicago to Idaho, describes ranch life and his social activities, and discusses family members and friends. The letters are bound in leather with the title and E. A. Nixon embossed in gold on the cover.
