British statesmen collection, 1660-1786 (inclusive), 1760-1784 (bulk), [microform].

The papers consist of copies of original letters of English statesmen and others to Francis Dashwood, later Baron le Despenser; Chancellor of the Exchequer; Wilmot Vaughan, Earl of Lisburne, Lord of the Admiralty; and others, including a large number on legal business addressed to William Sleigh and other attorneys. Included among the prominent correspondents are William Wildman Barrington, second Viscount Barrington; Sir George Jackson; Lord North; and William Johnson Temple. The letters are Mss. Egerton 2136, vol. 1 in the British Museum.
