The collection consists primarily of notes, drafts, and manuscripts with some accompanying correspondence documenting Kennard's research in hydrodynamics, shock waves, and structural mechanics at the David W. Taylor Model Basin (1941-1967), and his work on the revised 5th edition of INTRODUCTION TO MODERN PHYSICS (Floyd K. Richtmeyer, et al.). Technical laboratory reports and reprints by Kennard and others. Most of the correspondence is with Ralph C. Leibowitz relating to their publishing collaborations in hydrodynamics.
