The Breen-Monagan collection, 1948-1970.

This collection comprises the correspondence between the Irish freedom fighter Dan Breen and the Honorable John Monagan, former U.S. Congressman from Connecticut, during the years 1948 to 1969. The letters offer insight into Breen's later political and social thinking as well as providing reminiscences of the irish struggle for independence from Great Britain.
