Letter copybook (1838 July 8-1839 Apr. 17) of General Worth while stationed at Buffalo, Madison Barracks (with the 8th Infantry), Albany, and Plattsburg, N.Y., the later two posts with the Department of the North. The letters are to various officials and military officers including Roger Jones, Joel R. Poinsett, and Winfield Scott, and relate to military actions along the New York-Canadian border, including some events in the aftermath of the Caroline Affair. Also, a 2 p. extract of a report of 1842 Apr. 25 has been laid in.
