Correspondence files pertaining to stage coach and omnibus companies' annual reports, [ca. 1910-1962], bulk 1926-1957.

This series consists primarily of incoming and outgoing correspondence but also includes memoranda and copies of orders issued by the Public Service Commission. The files pertain mainly to annual reports previously filed with the Public Service Commission and include detailed information as well as clarifications, amendments or explanations of these earlier reports. Researchers utilizing Series 12393, Annual reports of stagecoach and omnibus companies, and other common carriers, 1909-1980, should consult these correspondence files to ensure that information contained in specific reports was not later amended or changed. In addition to amendments to annual report financial data, the files also contain information pertaining to route descriptions and/or alternatives. This data is usually contained in the copies of orders issued by the commission. The files are arranged alphabetically by name of company, and documents within each file are arranged in chronological order as they were generated.
