Primarily publications of the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA) collected by Wilson, including annual administrative reports (1922-1930) consisting of committee, progress and financial reports; and technical reports (1922-1928) which are detailed studies covering a range of topics in aeronautics and aerodynamics. Also included are issues of AVIATION (1923-1924), a weekly publication covering current issues in the field of aeronautics; and some reprints (1904-1924) by Edward Leamington Nichols, H. L. Howe, and Ernest George Merritt on luminescence.

Professor of physics. Ernest Merritt graduated from Cornell University in 1886 as an electrical engineer, and joined the staff as an instructor in 1889.
