Ormond Rankin scrapbook [graphic], 1901-1910.

Scrapbook kept by Ormond Rankin of Portland, Or., containing photographs taken and collected by him from 1901-1910, as well as other printed material. The first part of the scrapbook documents his involvement in surveying the boundary lines of Crater Lake National Park in the summer of 1903; these photographs, mostly taken by Rankin, depict Rankin and the survey party camping, hunting, hiking, and surveying. The rest of the scrapbook documents his time as a student at the University of Oregon, circa 1906-1910; photographs, as well as programs, clippings, and other ephemera, relate his involvement with the university's Mandolin Club and track and field events, as well as other events. The scrapbook also includes material relating to his graduation from Central Hawthorne grammar school in Portland in 1901 and his photographer's pass to the Lewis and Clark Centennial Exposition in 1905. There are other, identified photographers in this scrapbook, both from Portland and Eugene, Or.
