Collection includes an unpublished 20 page autobiographical account by Klein, 1957, in which the artist answers to questions posed to him by a public relations company in connection with a exhibition and an exhibition catalog planned with Victor Musgrave. In his account Klein explains the fundaments of his art and life, talks about his education as an artist, his concept of color, the importance of judo in his life and calls himself a disciple of Delacroix and van Gogh (folder 1). Seven letters from Klein to Musgrave, 1957, discuss sales, exhibitions and public relation issues as well as some personal matters (folder 2). Six letters from various correspondents to Musgrave, 1957, document the art dealers activities on behalf of Klein and include the letter from the public relations company with the six questions to Klein (folder 3). With miscellaneous newspaper clippings, gallery bulletins and exhibition announcements, partially annotated by Klein (folder 4).
