Bound carbon copy typescript reports on the sanitary conditions of towns in Wyoming by R. E. Wynne, Assistant Surgeon, and W. G. Stromquist, Sanitary Engineer, of the United States Public Health Service based on inspections they conducted between May 18 and September 29, 1917. The reports include information on location, topography, geology, water supply, milk supply, sewage disposal, typhoid cases of each town, and a summary of ratings. Each report is accompanied by a map or maps of the area surveyed. Two photographs of the coal mine in Cambria accompany the report for that town. Towns surveyed include Cheyenne, Laramie, Casper, Sheridan, as well as communities in Albany, Big Horn, Carbon, Converse, Fremont, Hot Springs, Laramie, Lincoln, Natrona, Park, Platte, Sheridan, Washakie, and Weston Counties. Tables showing the typhoid fever deaths in Wyoming from 1906 to 1917 appear at the end of the volume. "R. E. Wynne" is stamped on front and back pastedowns and endpapers.
