Correspondence, ca. 1715-1726.

A short miscellany of letters and documents, of or associated with Marti, including: two letters exchanged between Marti and Juan Interiano de Ayala during their residence in Mantua, 1715; clerk's copies (perhaps for publication by Gregorio Mayens, or for the now blind Marti) of two letters by Marti, one to Philippe Bulifon (son of the French bookseller and historian Antoine Bulifon) in Naples (1726) and the other to Marti's royal patron (1723); a long letter of a Father "Matthaeus Aegyptius" in Naples to the duke "Antonius Juvenatie," (1726), relating to his and the Bulifons' association with Marti; and a set of ms. translations into Greek of Martial epigrams. Also included is a letter of Thomas della Espade to the historian Juan de Ferraras on Phoenician colonies in Spain; but all the other documents are primarily conerned with Classical language, literature, history, and antiquities (especially inscriptions and medals), or to books and libraries related to them.
