L'Art et la science (essay), n.d.

A manuscript essay in which Faure draws analogies between the methods and tenets of modern science and what he considers to be the general principles of art. He emphasizes the concept of unity and advocates a synthetic, ideal, and logical art over a naturalistic one, and points to Greek art as a model. He also argues for a sort of expressionism, and includes references to Old Masters, Japanese art and Eugene Carriere on this count. His models of thought in science are Poincare and Claude Bernard.
