Representacion al rey de Espana : ms., [ca. 1766-1772].

Specifically it calls for the appointment of only Mexican-born Spaniards to such posts as bishop, archbishop, viceroy, and audiencia judge. The writers express resentment at being excluded from the upper levels of government and go on to say that the peninsular-born officeholders arrive in great debt, with their extended families, in expectation of marrying off daughters and nieces and of placing sons and nephews in patronage positions.
