This collection constitutes Felbermeyer's personal archive of photographs made during his career as a photographer of antiquities and works of art. The focus on photographic documentation of Greek, Roman, and particularly Etruscan antiquities reflects Felbermeyer's long association with the American Academy in Rome. Most of the images result from commissioned projects for scholars in the fields of ancient and classical art, as well as art of the early Christian and Baroque periods.
