Egmont papers, ca. 1700-1750.

Collection consists of several items, once bound in one volume: "A Journal, or trew Relation of the proceedings...in this present Session of Parliament, 1628"; a journal of the "Parliamt. of King James the first Anno 1620 with the Censure of the Lo: Chancellor Bacon"; "Modus tenendi Parliamentum"; transcripts of 74 letters patent of King James, 1621-22, relating to Ireland; transcripts of historical letters, including one to Count Gondomer on the death of King Philip, one to King James against Buckingham, one from King James to Ferdinand II, one from Sir Thomas Egerton to the Earl of Essex, and one from Sir Thomas Bodley to Sir Francis Bacon; "Fragment of a Comparison between the Earle of Essex, and Duke of Buckingham"; and "Proceedings of the Grand Jury of Cork Against Papists Condemn'd, 1691." Also includes list in Egmont's hand of various manuscripts that he had collected.
