Printed form with manuscript additions for an indenture binding Oliver Gautier, a minor, as an apprentice to Philadelphia merchant Stephen Dutilh for seven years, in return for stipulated room, board, and education. Signed by John Bayard, Philip Kinsey, Gunning Bedford, Isaac Snowden, Andrew Tybout, George Emlen, and Joseph Rakestraw as "managers of the house of employment"; and by justices of the peace William Rush and William Adcock. Oliver Gautier is represented by "his mark."

John Bubenheim Bayard (11 August 1738 – 7 January 1807) was a merchant, soldier, and statesman from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He achieved the rank of colonel while serving with the Continental Army, and was a delegate for Pennsylvania to the Congress of the Confederation in 1785 and 1786.
