William Butler Yeats letters and memorandum, 1891-1934.

The collection contains five short letters and a memorandum by William Butler Yeats, plus one envelope. Yeats writes to Mr. Porter, 5 Oct., acknowledges a translation by Porter; to Herbert Horne, 19 Jan. 1891, accepting an invitation to a meeting of the Rhymers; to Dear Sir, 2 June, acknowledging he did not know Brooke very well; to Dear Sir, 11 Nov., sending a Shaw interview; to Miss Milligan, Sunday [on mourning stationery], noting that his mother's death delayed his response. The typed, carbon memorandum signed by Yeats discusses his plans for the money he received for the Irish Academy of Letters in 1933. Also, includes an envelope addressed to M.D. Hurley, Los Angeles, Calif., postmarked 1934.
